Spirit of St. Louis Women’s Fund Announces Changes to Grant Process

The Spirit of St. Louis Women’s Fund awards $20,000 to $50,000 grants to local nonprofits who have an operating budget of less than $1.5 million. Grants are awarded for general operating funds, project support and capacity building support. Nonprofits working in the areas of arts and culture, education, environment, health and/or social services are encouraged to apply.

Beginning in 2024, a new, shortened, grant process will take place over six months, from May to November. Beginning May 1, qualified organizations are invited to initiate the process by submitting a first-stage application (LOI) through the St. Louis Community Foundation grants portal.

Grants will be awarded in November to eight to ten agencies and will be paid in two installments over two years. In its 15-year history, the Spirit of St. Louis Women’s Fund has granted more than $3 million to organizations in the greater St. Louis community. SOS grants are funded by a diverse group of women who find a passion in giving back to St. Louis as well as learning about the needs of our community and meeting other like-minded women.
