Donate to Your Fund

• Checks must be postmarked by Friday, December 29, 2023.
• Gifts of public securities must be received in our brokerage account (Smith Moore) by 12 noon CST, Friday, December 22, 2023.
• Wire transfer: Instruct your financial institution to wire your contribution on or before 2 p.m. CST, Friday, December 29, 2023.
• ACH gift: Give by 2 p.m. CST, Friday, December 29, 2023.
• Credit card donation: Give by midnight CST, Sunday, December 31, 2023.

Make Grants From Your Fund to a Nonprofit

The St. Louis Community Foundation and its donors direct more than $100 million to nonprofit, scholarship, and employee care recipients each year. A generous grant from your fund helps the nonprofits you care about most continue to further their missions and improve our community.

Remember: nonprofits are not all on a calendar year, so it may not be critical for them to receive your grant by a specific date—they will be happy to get it anytime!

If you are concerned about a grant being received by the end of the year, please follow these deadlines:

• For best chance of postal delivery by end of year:
  • Submit your grant requests by 12 noon CST on Thursday, December 7, 2023.
• For best chance of postmark by end of year:
  • Submit your grant requests by 12 noon CST on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
• If you are submitting a list of 10 or more grant requests, we highly encourage you to send them in as early as possible to ensure timely processing.
• We will make every reasonable effort to postmark requests received by 12 noon CST on Thursday, December 21, 2023, by end of year.
• All grant requests received after 12 noon CST on Thursday, December 21, 2023, will be processed in January 2024.

Tips for Fund Central

• When searching for an organization, start typing the name until something shows up, then scroll through the list to find the right organization. Consider using the most unique word to search, such as ‘Science’ if looking for the St. Louis Science Center, rather than ‘St. Louis’ or ‘Saint Louis.’

• Visit our website at www.stlgives.org and then click “My Fund” to assure you are at Fund Central. If you have not set up your password for Fund Central, let us know and we can send you a URL tied to your fund.

• Tip: Fund Central sees upper and lower case as unique letters, and our system default saves all emails as lowercase. Try using all lowercase if you aren’t able to login. If you have issues, please contact the Donor Services team.
