Thats a Wrap: 2024 Give STL Day Raises Nearly $4.1 Million
St. Louis just couldn’t stop giving, helping propel 2024 Give STL Day totals past the $4 million threshold, with final results standing at $4.053 million.
When Give STL Day began in earnest on Thursday, May 9, nearly 1,000 nonprofits were poised and ready to go. Once underway, those organizations never let up. The nonprofit appeals and donations just kept coming. In all, more than 15,500 donors made nearly 26,000 donations to 985 local nonprofit organizations. The number of individual donors and the number of donations received are post-COVID highs.
“The unrelenting spirit of enthusiasm by the region’s nonprofits really drove these results, and donors responded,” said Dr. Kelvin Adams, president and CEO of the St. Louis Community Foundation. “Based on online metrics, nonprofit excitement was at a record pitch, and our region’s media and promotional outlets also came together to promote the day and focus on the good the nonprofits do for our community.”
With today’s totals, Give STL Day has now raised more than $34 million since its inception in 2014.
Berges Family Foundation lent its support as Give STL Day’s Giving Partner, while Purina and Watlow served as Gateway Sponsors. Community Sponsors were Cardinals Care, 5 On Your Side, First Alert 4, OUTFRONT, St. Louis Magazine, St. Louis Business Journal, and St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
