A 3-Day Retreat Hosted for St. Louis School Leaders

The St. Louis Community Foundation recently hosted 10 school leaders for a 3-day, offsite retreat in Hermann, Missouri. Led by our Youth Connections team, this retreat was geared towards principals that represented both traditional district and charter schools in St. Louis City and County. Ranging from elementary to high school, these leaders predominantly support over 2,800 low-income students.

Understanding the challenge that principals face with a growing teacher shortage, it is important to provide a space for building leaders to be developed.

The retreat was facilitated by Dr. Sharonica Hardin-Bartley, superintendent of the University City School District, in collaboration with St. Louis Community Foundation, Dr. Kelvin Adams, CEO, Jay Hartman and Renata Bule.
