Our Community is Hurting: Resources Are Available

Monday’s tragic events at the Central Visual and Performing Arts High School and the Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience deeply saddened all of us at the St. Louis Community Foundation. We extend our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of those who lost their lives, as well as hold up those students who were injured in the shooting. We also are grateful for the rapid response of our first responders.

Today, our community must come together and lend support to the students, teachers, and staff directly affected by yesterday’s tragedy, as well as many of our friends and neighbors throughout the region who are also struggling.

The St. Louis Public Schools Foundation has established a Health and Wellness Fund that will be used to support the mental and physical needs of the district, students, and families.

We have compiled the following list of organizations which provide crisis intervention and other behavioral health services.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis or needs to be connected to resources, contact:

  • Behavioral Health Response: 24/7 crisis line at (314) 469-6644 or text BHEARD to 31658
