Give STL Day Raises $4.2 Million for Local Nonprofits

ST. LOUIS (May 5, 2022) – The ninth annual Give STL Day is in the books and raised $4.2 million for 1,022 local nonprofits, according to officials with the St. Louis Community Foundation, which powered the event.

The result is the third-highest since the event began in 2014. During the day, 30,780 individual donations were received, versus 35,502 in 2021.

“Once again, St. Louisans went online and generously supported our regional nonprofits,” said Amelia Bond, president and CEO of the St. Louis Community Foundation.

“Each year, I am reminded of the power we have when we team up and donate to these wonderful organizations that do so much for the St. Louis community.”

Since its introduction in 2014, Give STL Day has raised more than $26.2 million for thousands of St. Louis area nonprofits, Bond added.

“On Give STL Day, the energy, passion, and the generosity of St Louis is on full display and this year was no different,” said Elizabeth Mannen Berges of the Berges Family Foundation. “That excitement, along with our foundation’s ongoing interest in cultural engagement, STEM preparedness, youth empowerment, and support for our first responders are among the many reasons we are proud to sponsor this event.”

In addition to the Berges Family Foundation, which acted as the presenting sponsor, other organizations lending support for Give STL Day include: U.S. Bank – Private Wealth Management, Cardinals Care, Purina, Crane Agency, and the Incarnate Word Foundation.

“We are most grateful to our sponsors, who enable us to bring Give STL Day to the region each year,” said Bond. “ As we gear up for our tenth Give STL Day in 2023, I continue to be gratified and proud of how St. Louisans have embraced this initiative and extended their support to our local nonprofits year after year.
