Give STL Day is May 9!

Early giving is now underway for the region’s 11th annual Give STL Day, meaning people can get a head start and donate today to their favorite nonprofits.

It’s easy to participate. To make a contribution between now and Give STL Day, May 9 (midnight to midnight), visit GiveSTLDay.org, browse the list of nonprofits, and donate $10 or more to any one or many of the participating organizations. The charitable organizations represent a variety of interests and causes — from arts and culture to social justice.

This year, a new special event at the Armory on May 8 will usher in the day for nonprofits and the community. As in previous years, a robust assortment of cash and other prizes will also be awarded throughout the event. Elements of each include:

  • Nonprofit Night at the Armory: Learn more about participating nonprofits from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wed., May 8, as they get ready to kick off the St. Louis Community Foundation’s Give STL Day, our region’s 24-hour day of online giving. On the second floor, nonprofits will have information tables and representatives available to answer questions about their organizations.

The exciting evening will also include St. Louis-themed trivia, which begins at 6:30 p.m. At that time, individuals and teams can play to win a portion of a $10,000 prize pool for their favorite nonprofit. Food and drink specials will also be available throughout the evening, with the Armory donating $1 of every pizza and specialty cocktail sold to the Give STL Day Fund.

  • Prizes: Throughout May 9-10, more than $215,000 in cash and professional development prizes will be awarded to nonprofits. Visit the website for more information on what’s available and the timing of the awards.

Since the St. Louis Community Foundation introduced Give STL Day in 2014, the event has raised more than $30 million for thousands of regional nonprofits — including nearly $4 million in 2023.
