Eckert’s Donates Over $10,000 to Local Nursing Scholarship

Eckert’s Millstadt Fun Farm recently announced it will be donating $10,472 to the Friends of Saint Louis Municipal School of Nursing Scholarship, a scholarship fund at the St. Louis Community Foundation. This scholarship supports aspiring healthcare heroes who attend  nursing school in the city of St. Louis. 

Earlier this year, Eckert’s (2719 Eckert Orchard Ln, Millstadt, IL 62260) held a contest for the design of this fall’s healthcare heroes-themed corn maze. The winning design was cut into the 12-acre cornfield ahead of the farm’s reopening in September. Eckert’s donated $1 of each farm admission ticket. 

 

The winning design was created by Ryleigh Thompson, a student at Freeburg Community High School.  

Scholarships 

The St. Louis Community Foundation has 75 scholarship programs, including the Friends of Saint Louis Municipal School of Nursing Scholarship. Six hundred students were impacted last year with awards totaling $1.6 million. 

Applications are available on Scholarship Central, a regional resource of private scholarship programs. Scholarship Central has over 120 scholarship and interest-free loan opportunities for students in the St. Louis region and across Missouri.
