10th Give STL Day Raises More Than $3.8 Million for Local Nonprofits

Our region’s tenth Give STL Day is in the books, and once again St. Louis area donors stepped up to support local nonprofits. This year, to commemorate the event’s tenth year, the St. Louis Community Foundation added 10 hours to the giving period, making it a 34-hour day of giving.

In all, 1,053 nonprofits received 26,213 individual gifts totaling $3.84 million. Since its introduction in 2014, the event has raised more than $30 million for participating organizations.

During the event, more than $200,000 in prizes were awarded to participating nonprofits, culminating with a $30,000 Power Hour, which boosted donor gifts in the final hour of giving.

Thanks to the region’s generosity, thousands of meals will be served, animals will be microchipped, kids will get school supplies, and countless nonprofits across the region will pursue their missions with vigor, pride, and a bevy of new donors.

In the months ahead, the St. Louis Community Foundation will reach out to nonprofits to gather feedback on the day and what we can do going forward to build on our successes.

Of course Give STL Day would not be possible without the generous support of the Berges Family Foundation, which served as presenting sponsor. Other organizations lending support for Give STL Day included Purina, Cardinals Care, KMOV-TV, KSDK-TV, St. Louis Business Journal, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
