St. Louis Community Foundation's Give STL Day is May 6, 2021

Get Online and Give St. Louis!

Ongoing pandemic restrictions continue to hamper nonprofit fundraising efforts, even as they host host virtual galas, trivia nights, and performances. Their operating budgets continue to suffer, but we can help — and all it takes is a credit or debit card and an internet connection.

That’s because Give STL Day, our region’s 24-hour day of online giving, is fast-approaching and will take place on Thursday, May 6. On that day or during the early giving period, which starts April 5, all you have to do is visit GiveSTLDay.org, choose one or several nonprofits you’d like to help, and give $10 or more to each.

It’s fast, easy, and it will be a big help for organizations throughout the bi-state area that do so much during the best of times, but may be struggling a bit these days.

Once again sponsored this year by the Berges Family Foundation and powered by the St. Louis Community Foundation, Give STL Day has raised more than $17.5 million for the region’s nonprofits since the event was introduced in 2014. Last year’s event raised a record $4.5 million. Donations large and small add up. Consider what you can do with a donation of:

$10 will provide two bales of hay for the animals at the Gentle Barn last resort farm animal sanctuary which serves animals that have experienced extreme abuse and neglect.

$20 will pay an at-risk young person to mow the yard of a senior homeowner thanks to the Riverview West Florissant Development Corporation.

$50 will provide one month of mental health services to a young person at the Creative Reaction Lab, which helps educate, train, and challenge Black and Latinx youth to become leaders.

$100 will enable a piano to be tuned at Pianos for People, which offers free access to the piano for families and individuals with limited resources.

Let’s rally again St. Louis! Our nonprofits need a lift during this difficult time! Visit GiveSTLDay.org and give from April 5 through May 6, Give STL Day.
