Establish a Scholarship Fund

Inspired donors create opportunities that support the educational aspirations of the kinds of students that mean the most to them. The St. Louis Community Foundation has 80 scholarship programs that impacted 600 students last year with awards totaling $1.6 million.

Most of our opportunities are available on Scholarship Central, a regional resource of private scholarship programs that we are proud to have been a part of creating. Overseen by a committee of scholarship providers, funders and St. Louis Graduates, Scholarship Central has over 130 scholarship and interest-free loan opportunities for students in the St. Louis region and across Missouri.

Investing for the Future
Scholarship Fund

The St. Louis Community Foundation’s Investing for the Future Scholarship is a community-funded program that awards $1,000 scholarships, renewable for three additional years.  Donor gifts ranging from $10 to $10,000 fund this program.  Every $4,000 the fund receives in contributions supports a new scholarship recipient.

Every year, dozens of qualified applicants are denied due to the limited funds available. Donors who wish to help these students can contribute to the Investing for the Future fund listed in the dropdown menu here or make a grant from your Donor Advised Fund. Donors who contribute $4,000 (or a multiple of $4,000) will be named in the student’s award letter(s), if they so wish.
